ENTRY 28-12-25: Final blog (of the year!)

Hello again with my final blog! Sorry for no update till now, I'm pretty busy with school and art classes and exams even! I tried to put this blog and the update up on Christmas but there were so much to do that I got overwhelmed!! But I finally put this update and a blog up before new year though so there's that! I'm pretty sad that...Read more I didn't make the update on Christmas but at least I tried to get it out before my finals. Before that though, we're going to start off with some recap about my life this year!
So to start off, this year was alright, not much to say though. I don't know, probably because I didn't really go out as much. I did go to Ho Chi Minh city twice, one for vacation and one for my art class and adapt with the the city life, staying there for a month and a half but it was like, boring since I just went to the art class and went home and the day repeated after another. I did eat a lot of wontons in Chinatown and hang out with my online sister though so it was pretty lit at that part. While I was there, I went to a magic castle in a theme park or fun park, whatever it was and I was hopeful that the castle was a wizard castle where you have wizards museum that had statues of lineages of great wizards like Merlin or some shit, and there would be some souvenir shop where they sell wands, orbs or even miniature orbs! That could fucking work! But hell nah, I went straight into a trap. A fucking Harry Potter trap. It's a fucking haunted house with Harry Potter themed. I was pissed I was filled with DISAPPOINTMENT. I left after I just finished one floor, thinking it was the worst experience I ever had. Don't get me wrong, I like Harry Potter and I don't hate Harry Potter fans out there, y'all enjoy what y'all like aight. But DAMN my disappointment was immeasurable when all I got was Harry Potter shit when I expected long white bearded wizards. Anyways, you know what even sadder? The fact that I had nothing to do when I was in there and I was home all the time so I could have joined Art Fight! Too bad I didn't bring my tablet along with me 💔 All I did was coding and going to art class. I did bring my own art supplies like ink and dip pen and drew 2 art pieces! When I got back to my hometown, I DEVOURED 3 large cups of milk tea to quench my thirst for good milk tea. In HCM city, it was ass where I drank some milk tea. It was like, they added condensed milk with hot water and a bag of tea. Deadass. And it was pretty expensive too damn 🥀 I got home and went beast mode, making art of my ocs like crazy! As I was keeping my streak, my PC broke and till now, I still haven't had it fixed yet. They knew I was too powerful so they nerfed me fr/j. When I got back to school, I started to revise for my English competition. Since where I live is combined with another province so I have to compete with many people in a bigger city. I failed and I got traumatized that I fell off in everything that I do: drawing, studying English, writing and even lost my motivation to put any effort in anything. I feel kinda better now but damn the competition literally DRAGGED me. And just recently, I just went to Hanoi for my dad getting nominated for his books and he took that chance to take me and my mom to go around Hanoi. It was cool I guess. The people were nice but the food lowkey.. I've eaten better food before but Bún chả and Tràng Tiền ice cream were lit and I wanted more! We walked from the Hanoi Opera House to Sword Lake (Hoàn Kiếm lake) to the Pen Tower back again to Tràng Tiền street to eat some ice cream and then we went to St. Joseph's Cathedral there. It was TIRING!! I did not get why some foreigners can spend days to walk around and not hurt their own feet! I felt like my legs were falling off! And after my mom did her church session there, we got back to our hotel AND CONTINUE to go out and spent the rest of the day to go visit some distant relatives. That day was tiring!! The next day, we speed ran Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (Lăng Bác Hồ), Ho Chi Minh museum and Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu Quốc Tử Giám) so that we could fly back home as soon as possible. It's my first time flying and it was a headache for me when it fly up and go down, but it was pretty relaxing to look out of the windows and listening to ICP! And that's about it! I tried to remember all the interesting things that had happened but this year was pretty boring with all of the random stuff that weren't worth mentioning.
Whew! We are done with my boring life recap so we gonna move to my creatives recap! Although I don't much art this year but I'm pretty proud of how my art style turned out! Comparing my old art from May this year to September, I'm pretty surprised that it actually looked better in such a short time! Not that much finished art probably because I was getting jumped left and right by school plus my PC started to shaky and stuff so I couldn't draw that much. Writing on one hand though... Yeah it fell off.. Bad. I don't feel like I'm cooking like I did in 2024. And my ass tend to get distracted when writing, I would just write half a sentence and go on my side quest of scrolling Pinterest. Yeah I should focus more because I have a lot of stories I wanna share!!! Well.. move on to my website! I personally think my website improve a lot from the first ever version in such a short time! Well although I'm not really feeling the homepage's current style but I will experiment to see what's fit! I remembered I first learned about HTML was when I tried to learn how to code on Toyhou.se! I tried to learn HTML just for it but then I stumbled across Twelvemen and Cloudcover site so I learned CSS as well. The first site was pretty... It was something but it started my new hobby of coding! And now, I learned coding my website AND Toyhou.se character codes! I would post it but uhh.... I haven't done any artworks for my OCs or any lore for them yet so.. it's going to be long...
Since the new year of 2026 is coming, I'm going to list out a few things I wanna do, consider this as a new year resolution list! First thing that I NEED to do is actually draw more, mostly my OCs and develop their lore and story. I should join Art Fight so that I could draw more and have my OCs be drawn! Next is actually finish revamping my website, mostly the about, gallery, blog, writing pages and add new things like my ocs pages, projects, shrines, etc. I have plenty of ideas so can't wait to add them!! And finally, I need to study harder so I could get into university and actually live alone and do whatever I need to do! I need to lock in this year. I know I have said I locked in many times but this time is fr fr (no I won't)
Anyways, that's all for this blog! I wanna say that thank you for reading to the end and sticking with me on my website coding journey, it's been fun this year! ENTRY 28-11-25: My favorite seasons!

Hello and welcome to my new blog of November! Since holiday season is coming up, I'm going to talk about my favorite seasons, holidays and what I like about them :] (Despite there's only two seasons where I live) Before that though, I'm going to update you all about what I'm doing as usual. I'm not doing well, I can't even decide the homepage layout and design and it is killing me, please send help. Jokes aside, I'm actually doing...Read more well really, I'm having fun with my friends, drawing, doing stuff I like and enjoying life right now. Since I'm drawing a comic page that is like taking up my whole free time and energy (by the time I'm writing this), the homepage is going to be *sigh* quite a while to finish.
Anyways, let's talk about seasons, starting with my most favourite season: Summer! You know, the good o' beach vacation, summer sun shining with the cool breeze, allat jazz. That's the summer I love! I get to have a break and draw all summer without worrying about what I'm going to do in school the next day. And I get to hang out with my friends all day, all day everyday! At that time, I usually draw my OCs, code my website but more frequently since I'm free everyday! Sometimes, if I get lucky, my parents would just grab me and throw me into the car and go to the beach or sumn though it only happened like... One time. But I don't mind! I just mostly listen to music and write down my story ideas in the car and it kinda boring and tiring with the harsh sunlight, hot and dry weather. I really love summer since it gives me a lot of energy with all those nice cool weather and activities I could do with my friends! I'm not sure if there's any holidays that relates to the season but Artfight pretty cool right? I haven't entered it since all of those ref sheets and info but I like to join it next year when I enter uni!
Next: Spring! I like the spring all because it is the start of the year, new year new me type stuff! It also pretty warm and slowly drifting to cool weather! I don't have a lot of things to say about it other than.. I don't know, refreshing? I just like refreshing stuff ya know? And Spring with Summer is one of them! My favourite holiday is Lunar New Year or Tết holiday as we Vietnamese call it. I love this holiday cuz.. well.. we receive money and get to go somewhere! It's like summer but more red and yellow rather than blue, u picking up what I'm putting down? Anyways we usually go to relative's houses and get lucky money and hang out at cafes, restaurants, you name it. Though there is one downside to this is they literally push the price up sky high because it's holiday but it's quite understandable since people are working on the supposed holiday.
Up next is Autumn! Honestly, autumn is like, the quiet, soft, gentle season of the four. It's from cool to a little cold, transitioning from summer cool weather to cold but cosy breeze of autumn. It also the time where we get out butt back to school 🥀 I honestly think it's a nice season to enjoy your warm drinks in. I imagining wearing a thick wool scarf and a wool hat, drinking a hot pumpkin latte with cream on top, which I think it's pretty ideal. Also, IT'S THE SEASON OF SPOOKY HALLOWEEN TIME!!!! I LOVE HALLOWEEN SO MUCH YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!! I love the idea of going around in spooky monster/creature costume and scaring each other and do other spooky things with friends like reading horror stories to each other or watching a horror movie! I also love anything Halloween thrmed, I just think it's kewl! I would dress up as a wizard with my long beard and my magic orb!
And finally, we have Winter. Probably the worst season in my opinion. It's just so cold and there's so many exams at that time, I hate it!!! Though I have to admit, Christmas is bangin frfr. And it's also the perfect season to have a hot cocoa and eat chocolate at that time. Christmas is my favourite because I could go out with my mom to church and I could get to my mom's friend's cafe to relax while my mom talks about random stuff with her friend. I think it's alright but I would give it a 3/10 because of the cold weather. I'm freezing my balls off in this season 🥀
To conclude this yapping session, summer banging, winter sucks. That's all I have to say! And my opinion is always right, fight me on that. Anyways, I hope I actually finish the Homepage before New Year but don't get your hopes up. I also need to stop the weekly update for now, it's kinda getting tiring because it's hard to focus on many things I'm sorry I'm sorry! Alrighty then, that's it for now. See you on my next blog!!! ENTRY 31-10-25: Major update announcement!

Happy Halloween!! It's my favourite holiday but it is not today's topic and instead an announcement for the upcoming website update. It's quite short for a blog but it's too long to be a microblog and I don't know where to put it so, blog it is!
Long story short, I learned how to code HTML and CSS in 2024 and actually put it up in 2025. Since then, this website has been my home on the Internet where ...Read more I can archive my art, yapping about random things that just pop in my head and most importantly, a way to freely express myself! Since I only learn to code for the hehes, my website is not perfect and there's like broken bits and pieces somewhere 💔 but I still love it and I try to improve every day! I love experimenting and coding this website actually let me try out some new stuff! Which leads to the third major update of the year.
The third upcoming update is me redoing THE WHOLE ENTIRE WEBSITE, yes, all of it. From art assets to website contents, all of it. I will keep some blogs and art (of course) but the layout will be changed, a lot. However, unlike the last update, I will not take this website down temporarily and instead, I will update each page individually and keep up the ones that have not yet updated. I find that releasing a huge update at once is very overwhelming for me, and I like to take one thing at a time. During that, I also try to keep the consistency of updating the site once a week and posting a blog at the end of the month. However, this will not apply to art. As much I hate it, I cannot post art consistently as updating the site, even if I try to force myself to do so. Forcing myself to get some art out is just draining for me, and the art would come out bad! Plus, my PC is laggy and stuttery to draw, I couldn't even draw a circle! I did try to draw on my laptop, but it deadass died on me, and I'm too scared to touch it again even after it got fixed. What's more is that I'm currently in my last year of high school and it's pretty stressful. It's frustrating like that!
Okay so enough of that yapping, I actually just done doing the index and I will focus on revamping the home page! Though it would be a doozy since I planned a lot for it. Nevertheless, I'm still very excited to show you all!

ENTRY 05-09-25: WIZARDS!!! + small life update

Woah, it has been a while since I last post a blog on here. A month to be exact! It's all cuz I'm so busy with life now!! I'm in my last year of high school and I'm preparing myself to go to uni. I can't believe time went that fast! I still remember that I was an 11yo who obsessed with Splatoon and the next thing I knew was I’m in my last year of high school, about to be an adult all on my own. Because I'm in my last year, I'm going to focus all on school and studies so there won't be any fully coloured ...Read more art but there will be some doodles/RKGK art pieces! Anyways, as you know, I have a lot of interests like my OCs, Homestuck, etc. One of them is wizards! The main topic we going to talk today!
N1NE! My hardcore wizards interest didn't start as serious as my OCs nor Homestuck. Instead, it started as an ironic/joke thing that I had. They were one of my OCs - N1NE’s main interest. I was mimicking Homestuck where the kids had a bunch of interests with one of them being their main interest (ex: John Egbert into bad movies, Rose Lalonde into Eldritch beings/HP Lovecraft monsters, etc.) I was digging some wizards stuff and saw a bunch of random people dressed up as wizards and being funny. I think it's funny but then the joke just stuck on me since and now I love wizards unironically now!! Blame my OC N1NE (and Roxy Lalonde-)
Wizards are awesome. Thinking of an old man with white beard that extends to his feet wearing a pointed hat and long coat, living in his tower, pondering orb, making spells and potions just makes me feel whimsical. I dream to have my own stone tower and start to ponder orbs. Owning a spell book where you write your own spells and whip it out everytime you see a threat or just some problem you want to solve. The fireball spell usually solve the problem because it's fast to say it, fast to blast it out and convenient! I love to make my own spell book some day, might as well learn how to bind a book oof. Making a wand out of stick kinda uh… for me not that aesthetically pleasing, I would rather have a wand like how Sakura Kinomoto or at least have a staff with an orb at the top. As for the attire, having a long ass coat with big sleeves and big pointy hat with big brim (or no brim, it's alright) decorated with stars and blue-ish color. I think it would rock as a sleepwear! Orbs can be anything color, as long as it gives wisdoms and not break everytime I want to see into the future a little too far. I would collect a ton of them, a whole shelf of them in fact! Potions can be a hazard for me though since I have to learn what to put imto the cauldron without it freaking explode on my face! I hate it when that happens. I’ll stick to spell casting. When I have my own house with my own adult money, I would make wizard crafts like a wizard spell book, wizard orbs, potions or even a wizard mirror! Decorating my room with wizard theme or even house! Hanging paintings and/or diamond paintings of wizards around the house? Even awesomer!!! I will eventually become a wizard with awesome attire and long ass beard and blasting fireball spells! (The beard is a must!) Though there will be some cons to this awesome, amazing, cool path I'm going to down: goblins, fairies and even dragons when I'm going to collect ingredients for my potions ugh!! But at least I can blast fireball when I whip out my spell book. FIRE BALL!!!!! 💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥💥💥🔥💥🔥
Oops. Anyways… There are some wizard medias or at least they are wizards in my mind. There's Wizard101, Waltz of the Wizard, Mage Arena, etc. I don't know anything about Wizard101 but the Waltz of the Wizard is just the player who makes potions with a talking skull. Most of the time, the player just goofing around with the skull. I think it's funny when there’s a wide range of voicelines for the skull and I think the voice actor had a lot of fun during that!!! Mage Arena, omg it's hilarious!! I didn't play the game cuz I don't have any friend to play with 💔 but I watched a bunch of clips of the funny moments in the game. Funniest ones I've seen are CaseOh being flashbanged by Divine Light, that one guy who yelled out Thunderbolt but it didn't work so he yelled out Allahu Akbar and the thunder struck down (my personal favourite), a guy that had an Excalibur and he went on slaughtering people with every one he kills, a pic of someone/smth being blown to smithereens went on screen, etc. I will put the links to these funny complications at the bottom of this blog! Another media that I see that is wizard themed is Witch Hat Atelier. I know there's a literal Witch in the title but hear me out alright. In the manga, the main good characters have pointy hats with no brims cuz if they do have a brim, they will be considered the bad guys. Yeah I know witches and wizards have brim hats but only wizards have pointy hats with no brim, so it is technically considered as Wizard Hat Atelier. Square up if you didn't think so/j
Harry Potter does not count. Yes they have fantasy creatures, magic spells, allat stuff. BUT I DON'T LIKE HARRY POTTER. I mean, yeah I enjoy the time reading HP but it’s just so freaking annoyinggg everytime I mention wizards, they always say: “Oh you mean Harry Potter?” NO OF COURSE NOT YOU FOOL. These wizards that have long white beard you see on the streets occasionally are way cooler than Harry Potter. I'm not going to talk about JK Rowling and her being problematic since it's not the main topic. I'm just gonna say I don't like Harry Potter popping up when someone mention wizards. HARRY POTTER IS A WIZARD BUT WIZARD IS NOT HARRY POTTER. Just saying.
At the end of the day, I have a special place for wizards in my heart and probably my own future room, I love how whimsical they are and how me and wizards have so much in common! I'm going to be a wizard one day, just you wait!!!! I will have my own craft room where I decorate with wizard themed things and have my own spell book and awesome attire and eventually grows out a long white beard! And wizards paintings, I probably commission someone to paint acrylic paintings of wizards doing awesome things or buy some jigsaw puzzles and put them up OR paint them myself with my wizard obsessed OC N1NE. What a girl could dream. Anyways that's all I want to yap about. I know there isn't much update to the website since I'm trying to focus on school. Trust me, I want to remake the layout now that status.cafe being an asshole now. Well byee, see you in the next blog!

ENTRY 04-07-25: First ever blog!

Hii!!! This is my first ever blog and I don't know how to write a proper blog or even start the blog so I'm going to briefly introduce myself: I’m dancingPatches, and I'm the webmaster of this Madness world! I go by it/they mostly but any pronouns are fine too! There's an about page for you to know more about me! I think it's nice to start the first blog off with some website information like my process in coding along with some history stuff about my website! ...Read more In 2020 during lockdown, I was browsing around the internet, looking for prompt generators to draw… stuff and I stumbled upon a heaven for website: Neocities. I saw a lot like a whoolleeee lot of generators there and I knew the existence of Neocities since then. It was a shame that I wasn't interested in website development and instead I was interested in bitching on Discord with some fuckass strangers that ruined my damn life (I hate them as you can tell). Only in late 2024 that I wanted to make my own website after I got into Homestuck and I saw some personal websites on Neocities like Twelvemen, Cloudcover, etc. I always wanted a place to decorate and express myself, but social media just kinda leaned onto change pfp, write limited bio and.. that's it. So the idea of making my own website is awesome to me and I started to learn HTML and CSS since then.
The process of learning is just me learning the basics of HTML and I think it was pretty easy to get the hang of! I learnt HTML from a guy on YouTube (who was Vietnamese) and I practiced with Visual Studio Code. CSS was harder than HTML at first but then it got easier to remember than HTML! After learning the basics from YouTube, I then go on freeCodeCamp to learn basic website development. After learning the basics of HTML and CSS, I got kinda…bored and uninterested which I definitely didn't want to. I browsed through websites to find inspiration and motivation to create my website but no use (plus I got distracted with making my first animation meme).
In early 2025, I picked up HTML and CSS again and learned from the start. It was easy so I glossed through it. And then all of the sudden, I just threw all of it out of the window and jumped straight into making my own website. I felt so proud cuz I actually made it with my own two hands and actually finished it! But since I had no experience in coding nor basic web design, the first website design was… it was something. I based the layout on my straw.page so it looked…not really a typical website if you get what I mean. Everything looked broken when on other displays (cuz I used absolute position for everything) and everything was so big and had so much empty space and since the elements were so big, the page felt so small and cluttered. The navigation spinning smiley face I made was an interesting idea I had but since it was in absolute position, it disappeared on other displays, making it inaccessible to others. Plus, the navigation was blending in with the background making people don't know where the navigation at, even though it was spinning. After a while, I decided to redo the website again (because mostly it kinda ugly and didnt look like a website but rather than a carrd or straw.page). And here we are with my new website look! There's a lot to improve but I'm currently loving it!

Most of the artworks that are used on this website are made by me of course! Otherwise are credited in the DIRECTORY And it's kind of a nightmare to make the art elements for this website update. Since I'm away from my home (at the time I'm writing this), I can't access to a 1920x1080 display so I use a responsive test website to test out if my website look good when I'm on a laptop. I don't have access to my dear tablet so I have to reuse everything I had and it isn't much! (I couldn't make a lot of art this year cuz I'm too busy!) And I have to stay here for a month so gahhh!!!!! I also use traditional art and then scan and edit it in ibisPaintX to use in my website. It is so frustrating!!! But at least there isn't much art to use in this website and I got it done though! When I get back home, I'm going to remake one of my ads and make new art!
